We are the Systems-Nuts Research Group at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh — part of the Institute for Computing Systems Architecture (ICSA) and the Quantum Software Lab (QSL).
Our research spans two themes. In systems software we work on operating systems, virtualization, heterogeneous(-ISA) computing, and modern memory systems such as CXL. In quantum computing we work on quantum system architecture and the classical simulation of quantum systems.
We are based in the Informatics Forum in the heart of Edinburgh, collaborating with leading groups in computer systems and quantum computing.
We are looking for passionate PhD students, postdocs, and master students to join the team (see open positions) !
